Susan’s life has been anything but ordinary. She grew up in New York and attended the High School of Music and Art. While attending the Museum School in Boston, she was given a one-person show at Harvard University, and was chosen for The Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. Susan began her career working with the iconic Andy Warhol. She appeared in several of his movies and was involved in advertising. Susan eventually ended up at Epic/CBS where she became the first woman VP in the music industry. She worked with many major artists including Michael Jackson whose album, Thriller, is the biggest record of all time. She formed the Susan Blond Group Inc, a publicity firm, in 1986.
After much achievement, Susan began looking for more depth and her sister, Laurel, and brother-in-law, Rabbi Leib Tropper, suggested she attend the Carlebach Shul. Soon after, she became Shomer Shabbat and found fulfillment in her new expanded life. She looks forward to being inspired weekly by Rabbi Citron, the unbelievable voice of Yehuda Green, and the spirit of the chevre.
