Yom HaShoah Commemoration at The Carlebach Shul Wednesday May 8th at 7:30 PM The Kindertransport: What it Meant to an 11-Year-Old Girl   Please join the Carlebach Shul and Dr. Karen Sutton on Wednesday May 8th at 7:30 pm for a captivating evening commemorating Yom HaShoah. Today more than ever, the events which occurred over 80 years ago need to be remembered and publicized.  Ronne Faber will narrate the fascinating story of her mother, Melanie Oelbaum, who was an 11 year old child rescued on the Kindertransport in the dark days of 1938-1939. It is a moving story of a young girl’s escape to safety and her determination to rebuild a meaningful life. In 2017 Melanie received the Emunah Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award.
