The biggest shift in Jewish life (apart from the Holocaust) was the founding of the modern state of Israel. Kabbalah has dealt extensively with the theoretical land of Israel and now the actual land of Israel. Explore how different views of Kabbalah look at Zionism, prayer revolving around Israel, messianism, mitzvot (commandments) involving the land of Israel, Jerusalem and the city of Sefad, and pilgrimage to the burial place of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
